Casinos Action Players Can Make Claim at Sims Partners

Microgaming Software has stated that any players who were adversely affected by Casino Action's shutdown (meaning anyone who's lost money), should contact Sims Partners (simspartners.com) to submit a claim. Apparently, the company behind Casino Action, Tusk Corporation, has gone into liquidation with Sims Partners.

First of all, I just want to say how shocked I was to hear about Casino Action. It's unfathomable to consider the prospects of the Casino Action group even shutting down. They have been highly successful, not to mention the fact they were eCOGRA approved for godsake!

For anybody unfamiliar with Casino Action, they are...err...were a group of online casinos and poker rooms that had established a great reputation over the last couple of years with players. Holding all the proper accreditations, delivering excellent customer service and rewarding players generously with bonuses and comps, Casino Action certainly appeared as if they were becoming a permanent fixture in the online gambling world.

So what went wrong? Well, considering that Tusk Corporation has remained uncharacteristically silent - not even informing their players of a shutdown and lost funds - nobody knows for sure. Could they be the first victims of the UIGEA? Uhh sorry, dumb question. Everybody knows how ineffective the UIGEA has been, not to mention the fact that the U.S. Department of Justice would have certainly made a ruckus via some airport arrests.

That said, it doesn't look like anything shady or illegal went down - at least as far as the players being adversely affected. Obviously, there could have been. The fact remains that Tusk Corp. is in liquidation. Furthermore, both Microgaming and eCOGRA have their good names to protect.  If you ask me, it just looks like mismanagement. They could have handed out too many free cash bonuses and paid out too much money.

So folks, until more government bodies regulate online casino gambling, having an online casino shut down on you without any notice could happen. It certainly doesn't help that all of Casino Action's online properties were licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. And they wonder why they weren't put on the UK online casino whitelist? While there are plenty of excellent online casinos licensed by Kahnawake, the Commission needs to step things up, if you ask me. But enough of that. If government's in the largest online gambling markets, umm the U.S., would just regulate, problems like this could either be prevented or transparently resolved.

Online casinos to avoid opening accounts until we know what will happen with the Casino Action liquidation are Golden Reef Casino, Music Hall Casino, Challenge Casino, Nostalgia Casino, UK Casino Club and Big Casino. Or visit CasinoAction.com to see a full list, including their large family of poker rooms.
